What is BHRT?
Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) involves treatment with hormones that have the exact molecular structure as those made by your body. These hormones are derived from wild yams and soy plants. The plants’ molecules are converted in a laboratory to hormones, which are identical (bio-identical) to those made by the human body. These hormones produce the same physiologic response as those that are naturally produced by your body.
What Is the Difference Between Bio-Identical and Synthetic Hormones?
Bio-Identical hormones are hormones that are chemically the same as those produced by the human body. Synthetic hormones refer to those that mimic native hormonal activity but differ in chemical structure from naturally occurring hormones. We only provide natural hormones and not synthetic.
How Are Bio-Identical Hormones Provided?
Bio-Identical hormones are prepared in a dosage form that can be easily adjusted to each individual according to the severity of their symptoms.
How Can I Obtain Bio-Identical Hormones?
These hormones require a prescription. We work with you and your physician to develop a treatment plan specific to you and your symptoms.
BHRT addresses the following symptoms:
